The British Red Cross held SAFE’s UK dissemination conference in London earlier this month, with very positive feedback.
Around 50 attendees from the Home Office, UN agencies, local authorities, the NHS and the third sector attended. The project’s outputs, including the e-learning training and face to face trainings (reaching 21 local authorities), were discussed as well as the policy recommendation paper on the Dublin process (family reunification) and the best interest of the child. There were also five workshops held with both British Red Cross and external speakers for all attendees to learn and discuss professional practice. Since the conference, SAFE’s e-learning modules are now featured on the UK government services and information website (
